A lease for approximately 46,000 s/f executed with Comcast

BPG affiliate executes two leases totaling 50,000 s/f at 258,858 s/f office & warehouse facility

Philadelphia, PA – Van Buren Associates, L.P., an affiliate of BPG Properties, Ltd., the operating affiliate of Berwind Property Group, Ltd., has executed two leases, totaling approximately 50,000 s/f at 2621 Van Buren Ave., a 258,858 s/f office and warehouse facility in Lower Providence.

A lease for approximately 46,000 s/f of office and warehouse space was executed with Comcast. The second lease was executed with a Fortune 200 technology company for approximately 4,000 s/f of office space. The property is situated within Valley Forge Corporate Center, less than one mile from the Trooper Road Interchange of Rte. 422.

“The fact that Comcast, an industry leader in their field, chose 2621 Van Buren to accommodate their office and warehouse requirements positively reflects not only on the location but also on the quality of the property,” said Robert Cook, the vice president of BPG in charge of asset management for the property. “We look forward to a longstanding, mutually beneficial relationship with Comcast.”

Founded in 1963, Comcast has grown from a single system cable operation into one of the world’s leading communication companies, focused on broadband cable, commerce and content. Comcast Cable is the country’s largest provider of cable services and is expanding its cable operations to deliver digital services, provide faster Internet and IP-enabled phone service, as well as develop and deliver innovative programming.

Stephen Robbins and Arthur Weisman of NAI Geis Realty Group, Inc. represented the landlord in the transaction while Richard Smith of Evergreen Property Advisors represented Comcast. The Fortune 200 technology company was represented by Christina Del Duca of The Staubach Company.

2621 Van Buren Ave. is primarily a one-story office and warehouse facility situated between Jefferson and Adams Ave. in the Valley Forge Corporate Center. The property is conveniently located within one mile of Rte. 422, five miles from Rte. 202, the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276) and the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76).
